The first time you get laser hair removal, you will be red. However, you can still go to work. It will be a very slight pinkness, similar to a light sunburn.

After laser treatments, it is very important to use sunblock. In addition, there are some other products that will quickly heal your skin.

Possible side effects are rare, but those most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin, similar to a sunburn. These effects typically last for several hours or less. Your hair thickness and your hair's growth cycle being the most important. Each of your hairs grows at a different rate and goes through three distinct phases: growth, regression and resting phase.

Following your first laser treatment, the area might appear slightly red and swollen. A week after treatment, you might experience what seems to be new hair growth. It is not new hair, it is just hair coming to the surface that was already there.
